The Foundation<\/h2>\n

The earthquake of October 10, 1986, absolutely damaged one of the two existing San Nicol\u00e1s drug stores in downtown San Salvador. Grupo San Nicol\u00e1s with its social conscience and with the faith in God of its founder, Dr. V\u00edctor Silhy, took the decision to guarantee its employees their jobs. In addition, he decided to provide them the needed capital to rebuild their homes.<\/p>\n

The humanitarian vision of Dr. Silhy and his family led him to create the San Nicol\u00e1s Foundation, with the aim of helping the most needed and vulnerable people, contributing to El Salvador\u00b4s development.<\/p>\n

About Us<\/h2>\n

Fundaci\u00f3n San Nicol\u00e1s is a private non – profit organization inspired by the ongoing commitment to contribute to the reduction of extreme poverty in El Salvador, Central America, mainly through human development and education.<\/p>\n

As a non-profit organization, we develop humanitarian aid projects for our internal stakeholders and their families; as well as, for our external stakeholders to support our country\u00b4s development.\u00a0 Our approach to serve the most vulnerable of our society results in a positive impact in the reduction of El Salvador\u00b4s poverty index. \u00a0<\/p>\n
